Supplies of beef and lamb remain short and organic premiums significant.
Current organic premiums:
Organic lamb 65p/kg
Under thirty month beef 42p/kg
Over thirty month beef 55p/kg

The price and volume arrangement between Graig Producers (GP) and Dunbia has resulted in a 17% increase in lamb sales through GP Jan – March 2012 over the same period of 2011, demonstrating the value of processors and producer groups working together. Producers, with the confidence of a minimum organic price and market for their lambs, purchased more organic store lambs for finishing over the period.
