Poultry With a little under 100 producers the organic poultry sector in Wales is small, but a significant increase in the number of poultry related enquires to the Organic Conversion Information Service suggests that it might grow in the future. While the majority are table bird and laying hen enterprises, Wales also produces organic turkeys, ducks, geese and even a few guinea fowl!Through the Farming Connect Organic Development Programme, Organic Centre Wales supports an organic poultry discussion group, which informs much of our poultry work. To date this has included feed issues, addressing difficulties in sourcing organic pullets and providing information the slaughter and processing of table birds.
